Richard Charington

In 1980, Richard joined C Czarnikow as a commodity trader. The Kuok Organisation of Malaysia bought out the team in 1985.
In 1988 he was instrumental in setting up Mindo Resources Plc as head trader, an Indonesian government commodity export organisation.
In 1990, Richard joined the trade finance section of Creditansalt-Bankverien, Austria’s largest bank.
In1992 he moved to Ceres Capital International a company that specialised in South African debt/equity conversions and corporate restructurings and where he successfully completed his Security and Futures (SFA) accreditation.
In 1996, he became a partner in Ormerod Allen & Company, a specialist finance house involved in trade, project and ship finance.
In 1998 Richard began a two-year secondment to Mettle, the South African structured finance group, setting up its London operation culminating in the takeover of Greenwich Securities. With the amalgamation of the two businesses completed, Richard, left the company to revitalise the Ceres Group and to create a Joint venture company with Mettle, Serec Investments. In terms of the Joint Venture, Mettle will continue to assist the Ceres Group in expanding its operations in Southern Africa while the Ceres Group will assist Mettle to expand its operations in Europe. Since both Groups have a particular focus on raising capital and providing financial products to emerging markets, the expanded Joint Venture should enable both Groups to strengthen their position in this niche market.

John Michael Ormerod FCA

In 1974 John Ormerod qualified as a chartered accountant whilst working for Ernst & Young, after leaving Eton.
In 1975 to 1980 John was head of Credit analysis with Hambros Bank, where he joined the shipping department.
In 1980 to 1985 Bankers Trust VP Shipping.
In 1985 to 1990 Den Norske Bank in the ship finance section.
1990 to present Ormerod Allen & Co a specialist finance house involved in trade, project and ship finance. He brings a wealth of international experience to Ceres Capital board.

Anthony James Allen MA FCA

Educated in Africa and Wellington before reading modern history at Oxford, Tony Allen has spent well over thirty years earning an impeccable reputation in Banking, ship financing and corporate finance. He trained with and was subsequently appointed supervisor at Coopers & Lybrand, London. His career has spanned executive posts within Guinness Mahon, Cayzer Limited, First International Bancshares, Colonial Bank and Cripps Warburg Limited culminating in forming the successful partnership of Ormerod Allen & Co with John Ormerod in 1994 when the entity took over the management of Marine Financial.
In 1997 Tony was a Director and Chief Financial officer under a three year secondment to Golden Ocean Group a major ship owner. Tony’s breadth of knowledge within the banking sector is ideal to support the companies’ strategy.

Uday Kumar Gujadhur

Uday Gujadhur is a partner of De Chazal Du Mée- Chartered Accountants, (Representatives of the Andersen Worldwide Organisation), and has been a director of Multiconsult Ltd since 1994. Mr Gujadhur is a Certified Accountant and has over 20 years professional experience in the fields of auditing, taxation, consulting and offshore business. He has made a significant contribution to De Chazal Du Mée’s expansion into the African markets. Locally, he has been involved in advising firms seeking listing on thje Mauritius Stock Exchange. Mr Gujadhur has been setting up offshore companies and funds for a number of years and has participated and spoken in several international conferences.

Mr Neeraj Nawaz

Mr Nawaz is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and holds a Master’s degree with specialisation in Finance (Msc Finance). He is a member of International Fiscal Association (IFA) and has also completed the professional stage of Institute of Chartered Secretarial and Administration qualification (ICSA). Mr Nawaz is currently the Assistant Manager (Corporate and Trust Services) of Multiconsult Limited and has more than 5 years of professional experience in the Global Business sector and more than 7 years in the fields of accounting, audit and taxation. He has been extensively involved in the structuring, setting-up and administration of Global Business entities promoted by a wide portfolio of clients, including large multi-national companies and high net-worth individuals.
